After ten years working for one of the leading trade fair organisers in Belgium, Olivier Claesens decided to start his own company. The wide-ranging experience he had built up in his successive positions opened up the way for him to undertake a variety of assignments. Before being entrusted with the position of Business Development Manager, he led the industrial trade fair division as Group Exhibition Manager.
Prior to this, he last worked respectively as Export Manager for a French concrete group, Sales Manager for a Belgian paint manufacturer and bank employee for an American bank.
Olivier Claesens has a bad case of what you might call organiser fever: he is involved in numerous (local) initiatives such as the Eel festival and Fish and Folklore Mariekerke, and he even drives the sag wagon for the annual Dodentocht marathon hike; etc.
He is also on the board of directors of Febelux that promotes the interests of the fairs and exhibitions sector.
